Considering making the move to the Mac platform? We think it is a fantastic platform and are ready to help. However - there is a bit of trepidation involved when making a big switch. PodGod will take you through every step along the way.

Bonus offer - If you hire us for a consulting job around if/when/how to switch, you get 20% off any set up services once the new Mac arrives.

80% of all people use their computer for four things: music, photos, email and web. We guarantee your transition will be seamless on all these things

That other 20%? We hear questions all the time about compatibility with Microsoft Office, bringing work home, etc. Pretty much the only commonly used application that is a true pain is Quicken. Other specialized applications are a little trickier but that is why we are here.

Lets talk about your needs and why the switch makes sense.

Our own personal experience started with a positive exposure to the iPod - and once the constant onslaught of viruses, spyware and constant crashes on the PC became too much - it became PowerBook time.

Five myths about switching:
1) It's more expensive on the Mac - Yes, there is a slight price premium on the Mac. But when you compare it to the true operating cost (we guarantee you won't need us as much with a Mac!) and the quality of the product versus the amount of time you spend on a computer its simply not an issue

2) I don't want to be locked into a proprietary system - Neither system is really limiting. Opening files on either system is a piece of cake.

3) Macs are awful for gaming - Well, sure if you you are talking about hard core gaming. But if you want that, you're probably not coming to us for advice anyway! There are plenty of fun games for the Mac, but if you want the hard core stuff, stick with a PC or console games (like Xbox or PlayStation).

4) Macs are arty-farty and not real computers - The old "creative" badge comes out of hiding to strike back. The main constraint is that certain specialized applications are Windows only. The vast majority of users won't notice a thing - in fact, the solid performance, minimal downtime and large application library will make it a hugely positive switch.

5) I don't want to have to learn everything again - This is it. The biggie. The fear of the unknown. We understand it, we recognize it, and most importantly, we will get you through it. And we guarantee that you won't regret it. (Our little secret? Its not as scary as it appears).
